As there was expectation of a postal strike near the end of May, the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) issued the spring 2025 utility bill in April, a month earlier than the usual May billing, while keeping the early payment discount date as the first Monday of July (July 7, 2025).
Residents who have subscribed to receive electronic utility bills should have received a notification on April 17, 2025, and residents who have opted to receive utility bills by mail should have received those notices in late April or early May. Residents should reach out to the Finance Department if they have yet to receive their bills.
There are many options to pay utility bill payments to the RDN without using the mail service. Please see the attached notice for ways to pay.
