Building Inspection Fee Changes in Effect May 15, 2025
The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) has adopted Building Regulations Fees and Charges Amendment Bylaw No. 1595.01, 2025. The updated bylaw comes into effect on May 15, 2025. Building Inspection Service fees have not been updated or adjusted in 14 years, requiring review and adjustments to ensure cost recovery and to support the efficient processing of building applications. The amended bylaw includes increases to some existing fees and the addition of new fees.
